How many of you hear the word "CAP" and immediate anxiety kicks in and you want to jump overboard? I'm here to throw you a life vest and save you. As a lover of all things CAP, I've been involved with CAP inspections for over 20 years. I've worn the CAP inspector hat many times over the past 10 years. And recently, I have been writing a column about CAP for the Wisconsin Histology Society In Focus Newsletter. Let help you navigate the unknown water of CAP checklists. In this workshop, I will review some of the most common CAP checklist deficiencies and explain the documentation needed to comply with the associated standard.
CEUs: This histology course is worth 1 continuing education credit. Course is available for 365 days from date of purchase.

Histology Team Lead
Children's Wisconsin
In my current role as Team Lead, I am responsible for all day to day operations in a pediatric Histology lab. I have been in this role for ten years. In addition to my leadership responsibilities, I also spend a good portion of my time working on the bench. I feel it is extremely important to stay connected to the work you do. I have had endless opportunities for career growth. Building an immunohistochemistry department and a Fine Needle Aspiration service are two of my greatest accomplishments in my current role. I also have eleven years of experience in an adult Histology lab. My passion is troubleshooting and CAP inspections.
