Why do we manage quality? Quality and patient safety are two sides of the same coin. This webinar will discuss how to build the quality management plan and how it relates to patient safety. In addition, we will review how performance improvement and quality management should be aligned with daily operations in the histology lab.

Dr. Ketan Patel, MD, MBA

Dr.  Patel serves as a Quality and Compliance officer for Anatomic Pathology at Penn Medicine.  He has over 25 years of work experience in laboratory medicine quality and compliance.  He is fluent in performance improvement and facilitated numerous quality improvement projects at Penn Medicine.  He is a regular presenter at performance improvement and compliance workshops and has been published in academic journals.  When he is isn’t working, he likes to learn about different culture and actively involved in cultural exchange programs with France and Germany.
