Webinar attendees will learn about screening, diagnosis, and treatment of prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men. Current issues in prostate biopsy specimen submission, processing, sectioning, and H&E staining will be described with an emphasis on histotechnologist slide preparation. Histologic and immunohistochemical features to diagnose prostatic adenocarcinoma will be presented including a description of tumor grading.

The Ohio State University Medical Center

Dr. Zynger is the professor and Director of Urologic Pathology at The Ohio State University Medical Center.  She received her medical degree from Indiana University and specializes in Urologic Pathology, Breast Pathology, and Surgical Pathology Billing.  Her other areas of interest are include histology and quality improvement.  She enjoys serving as a faculty lecturer at NSH and is deeply appreciative of the work done by histotechnologists
