Career advancement from lab manager to director and even senior executive requires a set of knowledge and skills that are not taught in histotechnology school. These are advanced techniques that will enable you to begin visualizing strategic trends to set your lab up for success five or ten years down the road. This workshop will begin by imparting knowledge to better understand financial management, which will help you better influence senior executives who may not be histotechnology professionals. These constructs will include financial statement analysis, capital and funding strategies, and financial risk assessment. We will then follow with imparting competencies for effective organizational and HR management, such as conflict resolution, negotiation, decision making, and problem solving. This session will finish with a section devoted to the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement - using discrete systems and statistical tools to help you better solve problems and improve your laboratory.
CEUs: This histology course is worth 1 continuing education credit. Course is available for 365 days from date of purchase.
