Sr. Manager Surgical Pathology

Ms. Kalanja is the Senior Manager for Urban Surgical Pathology at UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As Senior Manager, she is responsible for managing Pittsburgh’s urban hospitals, which consists of four busy AP grossing labs, an EM lab, digital pathology lab, and the urban histology lab. Her histology lab is the largest in the state of Pennsylvania, with over 30 staff members and a menu of over 300 IHC antibodies. 

Ms Kalanja is a certified pathologists' assistant with 18 years of experience.  She holds a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Ohio University and her completed her pathologists assistant program at the University of Maryland.
