Megan Owens

Histology Supervisor

St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua NH

She holds her HT and has spent most of her career performing histology in the clinical setting. She has been in the community emergency response team (CERT) for the city of Nashua New Hampshire for 10 years. Emergency response is a family affair, as Megan’s husband is the director of emergency management for the city of Somerville MA, and one year for my birthday. He decided a good "gift idea" was to sign Megan up for the police citizens academy, which turned out to be very informative. When Megan is not in the lab she lives to swim and last fall she swam from Alcatraz Island back to San Francisco.  So, she now believe that the prisoners lived after their escaped! She has been an active NSH member, including the NSH health and Safety committee and is now part of the NSH Laboratory Webinar Program Team.
